Origins, Genetics, History

Forbidden Fruit Type: Forbidden Fruit is a descendant of the following strains:

  • Cherry Pie
  • Tangie

Forbidden Fruit is a flavorful variety of marijuana which can be used for medical purposes. It is a cross between the flavor-packed Cherry Pie and the citrusy Tangie. This variety was bred by the Dutch growers at the Marijuana Seeds company to create a gourmet, tropical delight.

Appearance and Smell

The Forbidden Fruit plants are of medium height. The dried nuggets are the stickiest of the icky. They resemble Fruity Pebbles cereal with yellow, light green, green, purple, blue, and white leaves, buds, trichomes, and resins. All of that sticky are the trichomes, resins, and terpenes that give the weed its fragrance and flavor. It can be described as fruity, spice, pineapple, mango, citrus, earthy, oak, floral, and nutty. The aromas have a complex and arousing interplay of scents and effects.

How to Grow Forbidden Fruit Cannabis Seeds or Cuttings

Growing weed from Forbidden Fruit cannabis seeds and cuttings is rated as being a fairly easy undertaking. If you want to grow this delicious strain, first find a seed vendor or obtain a cutting. Seeds for this variety are said to be auto-flowering, they will, therefore, flower automatically after seven to nine weeks. Outdoors, you can plant the seeds in an area which has rich, organic soil, add some Flower Power fertilizers and nutrients, and keep the soil moist. Make sure the area gets plenty of suns and the air is dry. You may want to plant in a secluded area to avoid unwanted attention because your plants will have a very strong and delicious fragrance. After seven to nine weeks, in the month of October, your plants will flower. Harvest your plants and hang your buds to dry. Make good use of the rest of the plant. There are thousands of uses. You can expect a harvest of fifteen ounces per plant for the outdoor grower.

Indoors, you want to also mimic a dry, Mediterranean, sunny climate. You may set your five-gallon buckets up in a grow tent, lined with reflective material to keep in the light from your High Discharge lamps. Use rich organic soil and Flower Power fertilizer with added nutrients. Use a fan and exhaust to keep the air moving and dry. Keep your soil moist. Your plants will flower after seven to nine weeks. Harvest and hang your buds to dry. You can get a yield of about fifteen ounces per meter squared.

Medicinal Marijuana Review

The Most Common Disorders Treated with Forbidden Fruit Marijuana in Medical Marijuana States

Forbidden Fruit medical cannabis can reach THC levels of up to 25 percent. This bounty of THC gives it incredible pain fighting power. Many ailments have been recognized as benefiting from treatment with medical cannabis such as Forbidden Fruit marijuana. Some of these ailments are the result of inflammation in the body. One condition in which inflammation attack the myelin sheath surrounding neurons is called Multiple Sclerosis. Symptoms appear depending on what part of the nervous system may have been attacked. Often, this inflammation results in pain. Some sufferers describe their feet feeling as if it is on fire. Many sufferers have tried medical marijuana and attest to the positive effects it has in relieving pain caused by the disorder. Not only does it banish pain, it also reduces inflammation in the body which causes the pain in the first place. Forbidden Fruit marijuana is also useful in other inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Forbidden Fruit marijuana can also address neuropathic pain. This is also pain which results from damage in the nervous system. Shingles is a type of illness caused by damage to the nervous system done by the chickenpox virus. Medical marijuana can help address the sharp and burning pain caused by small lesions that occur due to the virus which is dormant in most people. Other types of neuropathic pain which may respond to treatment with medical marijuana include diabetic polyneuropathy pain, fibromyalgia, and CFS pain.

Neurogenerative conditions sometimes benefit from treatment with medical marijuana. The weed, in this case, provides THC and/or CBD which protects neurons from further damage. In CTE or Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, the brain has become damaged through repeated head injuries often sustained during sporting events. These injuries accumulate over time causing athletes to experience depression, dysphoria, and cognitive deficits. Medical marijuana such as Forbidden Fruit weed can protect neurons from further degeneration. It can also address issues of pain and depression which occur in this disorder. There is also some evidence that other neurodegenerative ailments can benefit from treatment with medical marijuana. This may include Alzheimer’s disease, ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, and traumatic brain injuries.

Cancer is one of the early diseases which was recognized to benefit from treatment with medical marijuana. During the course of radiation treatment and chemotherapy treatment, many cancer patients lose their appetite and lose weight, putting them at greater risk of not surviving. They may also experience depression and anxiety. Medical marijuana can relieve those symptoms, give them an appetite, and fight nausea and insomnia.

Warning! An important info! Remember all those enthusiastic comments about how weed make people super proactive and motivated? So this is nothing like that. Put this pot off till better times if you have some work to be done. And don't use it unless you are planning to veg on a couch and watching tv for a good couple of hours. I'm saying all this only because I got into trouble after using it without thinking. But in proper time and in proper place Forbidden fruit will take you to the land of relaxation and tingling. Note that the way it was grown and stored is a big deal. So if your salesman is proven, this weed's gonna knock your socks off. Good way to forget about problems and give your brane time to restore its capacity.

I've got a gram of this and it was enough for me to fall in love. It's on the list of my five most beloved strains of all times. Beautiful dark purple leaves with green and orange hairs in it. I liked its tender scent and taste as much. They are fruity and sweet as hell, like fruit punch with too much sugar. When smoking you start to wonder if it could be the true taste of tropical weed. The effect is extremely severe indica. I concentrated on my feelings and sensations and here is what I experienced. Like you are having a satisfying bath filled with pleasure and enjoyment which swallow your body and spread relaxation from your chest to your limbs. A process is very delightful and smooth or even somnolent. I wouldn't use it in the real bath:) But if you somehow find it, don't even think. Just take it.

Bought this a couple of times from a good dealer, I guess that batches were sun grown cause they were exceptionally qualitative. It tasted like an orange or maybe tangerine and skunk on the inhale and cherries (weird change of flavor) on the exhale. Its smell is for the most part the same but without funk odour. The buds had purple color and were covered with orange hairs. I prefer a nice clean bong to smoke this pot cause it makes me feel the best. And the taste is felt most keenly this way and that is kind of important for me. Oh and I used a rosin which I made myself as a topper. It gave me such a good few rips that I have nothing to compare it to, it's been a while since the last time I got such high. My mind was mostly of existence above the clouds. It's a good strain but I think OG or GG4 in certain respects are better. Perfect for having fun with wifey if you know what I mean. By and large a formidable strain and a thing that should be kept somewhere around if needed. Will definitely enjoy it again.

Let me tell you something. This strain is the tastiest thing I ever sampled. Cherry, fruity or what some people claim it to be is not right. For me it's totally grapefruit. Buds are of deep purple color (even in the core) with orange calyxes and the trichomes are frosty. Its appearance and smell are good but the effect is even better. Forbidden fruit is an indica dominant strain and it is good at reducing pain and relaxation. You will be smiling but not like giggles. It's just so good and pleasant and without any drawbacks that you can't help smiling. Only good things can be said about this pot, so I'm glad that it becomes more and more popular. Hope it will be legendary someday.

I have never seen such a one-of-a-kind strain before. It's something entirely different from what I have tried and I tasted many kinds of different pot. As you can see from the comments and feedbacks people either fall in love with it or truly hate it. There is no another option. I also noticed that if grown properly, Forbidden Fruit buds have the deepest purple colored flowers you can ever find and the richest orange hairs throughout the batch. So it really is beautiful and the aroma meet the expectations as well. A strong citrusy flavor of tangerine, orange and grapefruit with a hint of diesel and skunk. Fbf is definitely on the list of those awesome and well-known strains which are considered to be first-rate because of their unique terpene profile. I'm sure it will be highly commended by the cannabis admirers.

This is a smoking review, not vaporizing. So my first experience with this aptly named Forbidden Fruit strain was purely thrilling. At first, the smell must be described. As soon as I opened the bag, a weird situation appeared. Its indescribably sweet smell has spread all over the place at once. You won't believe it but my roommate living across the whole two-room apartment with her (so as mine) door closed came to my room to smell the Fruit. You can only imagine how strong but at the same time good it smells. This holy aroma is a bouquet of cherry, passion fruit and mango. The nuggs remind a rich citrus smoothie with earthy and woody aftertaste. So although my tolerance level is a bit higher than usual (it's no wonder as I smoke every day), it came into effect after my first hit in about 2 minutes and a half. And yes, I timed it. For a long time I have been trying to find with no success a strain that could vanish my chronic depression, anxiety and stress. Until I bumped into this pot which does exactly what I need without delay. At first, my every thought seemed such funny. After a few more hits I became very creative and wanted to horse around with my roommate. Next 2 hours I spent lying on the couch and playing Skyrim. The next day my brain and body were so grateful for that feeling of relaxation without dry eyes or mouth! I definitely need some more of this.
